Welcome to the Alpha Building and Constructions project at 5 Emma Street, Kalinga, Brisbane – a shining example of meticulous design and thoughtful functionality.
Nestled in the picturesque and sought-after suburb of Kalinga, this original Queenslander has been transformed into a magnificent family haven. In collaboration with the visionary team at Big House Little House, our goal was to breathe new life into this classic Queenslander while maximising every inch of the large block, resulting in a space that seamlessly blends open-plan living with the charm of yesteryear.
Upon entering, you’ll immediately feel the warmth and welcoming atmosphere of this home. The heart of the residence is the kitchen, which perfectly balances functionality and artistry. This space effortlessly connects to a large outdoor kitchen and custom-designed sparkling pool, ideal for a growing family, gatherings and celebrations.
The ground floor offers a versatile layout, including an inviting entryway, an elegant portico, a spacious office or fifth bedroom, a convenient full bathroom, a well-appointed storage area, a practical laundry, a cosy lounge area with a gas fireplace, a dining space, and show-stopping kitchen with a butler’s pantry. An exquisite timber internal staircase leads to the second level.
Upstairs, a generously sized master retreat redefines luxury living, complete with a walk-in robe and a magnificent ensuite. Three additional bedrooms offer comfort and style, with access to a verandah from bedrooms 3 and 4. A powder room, another full bathroom, a rumpus room, and a separate study provide spaces for relaxation and productivity.
In this project, one of the impressive elements is the innovative design of the master suite, which has been skilfully cantilevered over the pool.
